The Office will air its final episode after nine brilliant seasons. This will be a bittersweet moment for me, as this was the first show that I can say that I have watched from the very beginning. Michael Scott, with his ridiculous comb over (that was thankfully changed in season 2). Jim’s infamous jello prank. The basketball episode. Between Michael’s awkwardness and the Jim/Dwight relationship, I was instantly hooked. Now, after we’ve made it through the disorienting and awkward transition away from Michael in season 8 into a major comedic rebound in season 9, I’m not sure if I’m ready to see the Dunder Mifflin family go. Things are just getting good! Dwight & Angela, Jim & Pam and not to mention the No-Nonsense combination of Manager Dwight and his Assistant to the Regional Manager Jim.

Favorite Episode: The Initiation (aka Pretzel Day)

Favorite Prank: Either Asian Jim or Dwight’s stuff in the vending machine

But really, every prank Jim did was pretty epic. (See Desk Wars, Dwight’s desk in the bathroom, Dwight faxing himself from the future, etc).

And for your viewing pleasure, the best of Michael Scott:

It will be tough to watch tonight’s episode, but all good things must come to an end.

The Office made us lighten up to the corporate world. It reached out to the 9-5ers. It showed us that no matter where you work, your office is your family. We are all Dunder Mifflinites now, watching the final boat cruise sail off into the sunset.

In the immortal words of Michael Scott “You know what they say. Fool me once, strike one. But fool me twice… strike three”

Astronaut Performs David Bowie’s “Space Oddity” While Floating in Space

Before he returns to Earth after five months aboard the International Space Station, Commander Chris Hadfield recorded this amazing cover of David Bowie’s “Space Oddity.”

This isn’t Hadfield’s first foray into the world of YouTube. During his time in space he picked up quite the following here on Earth with his videos explaining what it’s like living for an extended period in space.

Ed note: We think this video should play on a loop in the National Air and Space Museum. What do you think of Hadfield’s cover?

This may be the best thing on the Internet right now.
